This is one of my good friends, Henry. He
has just recently become a hermit. Many think maybe this is because he is soon to be married.
As a matter of fact, EVERYONE thinks this. But, he still denies it...Is it possible
that he is, how should I put this, involved? UPDATE:
Henry is now
married (yep, to the crazy chick), and is no longer one of my good friends.
I don't know what the hell I did to him, but apparently it was enough to
shit all over me. Allow me to explain: We were invited to our "friend" Henry's
engagement party but not to the wedding (wtf?!?!). I think maybe his career
(police officer) overrides any of his friendships. He invited the Police
Director to his wedding (can you say, "brown-noser"?), and I
guess me being there would ruin his chances for any lofty positions in the
department. Yeah, I know, that's as
cheesy as you can get. They were probably expecting a gift at the engagement
party. As per etiquette, gifts should be accepted but not be expected at the
engagement party. And another rule of etiquette to observe is not to invite
people to the engagement party you don't plan on inviting to the wedding.
Please don't make that mistake. It's really pretty cheesy and class-less. If
