You're INVITED to our annual South Lake Tahoe, Nevada SnowBoard/Ski/Gambling/St.
Patty's Day trip again this year March 16-22 (Friday-Thursday), 2007!
We're staying at The
Ridge Pointe Resort and our unit is RIGHT on the mountain (balcony overlooks the mountain...we can throw empty beer cans at the skiers!), literally about 2 mins from a lift, and we can fit 6 more people! It's a 2-unit condo, with a lockoff (i.e. separate
room w/king bed, pullout bed and shower).
The main bedroom has a Jacuzzi, and
right outside the activity room is
a hot tub!
Airfare as of 1/19/07 is $300.60/pp (roundtrip, one stop-over, 7 hours flight time) into Sacramento, CA...then
a 1-3/4 to 2-1/4 hour (depending on snowfall amounts) scenic drive to
the resort (directions below). THERE ARE
PLENTY OF SEATS LEFT ON OUR FLIGHT IF YOU CAN DO THESE EXACT DAYS!
You're gonna need to pickup a 4WD
vehicle from a rental place (we got a Ford Escape
from Hertz for $436.38 for the whole week),
because they won't let you drive up into the mountains without it!
Serious, they have State Troopers at a roadblock at the base of the
mountains, and if you don't have 4WD or tire chains,
they will turn your ass around.
We'll also be there for St. Patty's
Day, which falls on that Saturday, so the place will be rockin' more
than usual! We've got a good Irish joint to go to for some corned
beef and cabbage to celebrate!
Other activities include horseback
riding, snowmobiling, clubbing, snowball fights, snowman construction,
and gambling! Since we're on the NV/CA border, there are a shitload of
casinos including Ceasar's and Harrahs at the base of the montain!
The best part? If you've been
invited, all you pay for is your transportation, food and lift tix! The
room's on us!
